For our composition and framing task each group was given a theme for example, trust, closeness, betrayal, love, hate etc. Each group then had to go and take a set of pictures that portrayed their given theme, through different photography techniques. Some of the techniques being negative space, rue of thirds, depth of field and symmetry.
We learnt that by using these techniques what was shown in the picture did not particularly have to relate to the theme, as sometimes the composition and framing would show the theme itself. For example, a trapped theme maybe portrayed in a picture through the use of another frame in the picture to make it seem that the object or person in the picture is physically trapped.
Our theme was 'trust'
